Priests are known to be very capable healers in WoW. However, priests can be good damage dealers too. When you want to make a Priest character you will be able to choose between a certain amount of races. If you want to play a priest on the Horde side you will be able to choose between the following races: Undead, Trolls and Blood Elves. If you role Alliance you can choose between a Human, Dwarf, Night Elf and Draenei race. All races have their own racial abilities so besides the looks you should also look into these when you want to make your priest.
A Priest is a genuine mana consumer whether he chooses to play a healer or a dps caster and therefore he will need a lot of spirit which will help him regenerate mana much faster, intellect which will give him a greater amount of mana and of course, a lot of spell power.
